Trezor Bridge — Securely connect your browser to your Trezor device

Trezor Bridge is a small local application that enables secure communication between web apps (like Trezor Suite or supported dApps) and your Trezor hardware wallet. Install Bridge for uninterrupted, easy device access.

How it works
Bridge runs locally and forwards requests from your browser to the Trezor device — no keys leave your hardware.

Install & run Trezor Bridge

  1. Download the appropriate Bridge installer for your OS from the links above.
  2. Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions. Bridge runs as a small background service.
  3. Open your browser and visit Trezor Suite or a supported web app. Your browser will detect Bridge automatically.
  4. Connect your Trezor device via USB (or Bluetooth for supported models) and verify any on-device prompts.

Troubleshooting

If your browser doesn't detect Bridge, ensure the app is running and try restarting your browser or reinstalling the driver.

Permissions

Bridge communicates locally — it does not send private keys to the internet. Approvals are required on-device.

Supported browsers

Chrome, Edge, Firefox (with native messaging), and other Chromium-based browsers.

Security model

Trezor Bridge acts as a local mediator only. Private keys remain on the Trezor device; every sensitive action must be confirmed on-device. Bridge uses encrypted channels for communication and only accepts requests from trusted origins.

Privacy

Bridge does not collect telemetry by default. It is designed to minimize data exposure — official releases are open-source and auditable.
